There is a growing number of high school students in California dual enrolling in college courses.  While the trend is growing, numbers show that there could be racial disparities that exist in accessibility to dual-enrollment programs.  According to analysis from EdSource, the rise in dual enrollment has steadily risen since 2015.  In 2015 just over 48-thousand enrolled and in 2021, that number rose to just over 114-thousand.  But the numbers do show that 59 of the 72 districts analyzed had a lower percentage of Latino high school students and 52 of the districts had a lower percentage of Black students.
