A nurse strike at Kaiser Permanente across Northern California has been averted. Kaiser, the California Nurses Association and National Nurses United have reached an agreement on a new contract to be ratified in the coming weeks. The agreement includes wage increases, new health and safety provisions, investment in education, and workplace violence prevention provisions. The two day strike would’ve taken place next Monday and Tuesday and could’ve affected Kaiser hospitals in Santa Rosa and San Rafael.

Nurses at Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center also reached a tentative agreement which they will vote on next week.
