A Santa Rosa food bank will be distributing a sizable donation from a local cheese company today. The Marin French Cheese Company donated one-thousand eight-ounce wheels of cheese to Redwood Empire Food Bank last week. That’s a total of 500 pounds of cheese that will be used for small meals to give to people as they wait for groceries at the food bank. It’s part of Redwood Empire’s On the Spot Nutrition program. The food bank has seen demand go up 38-percent this year.
