A dozen graduates of the prestigious Sonoma Academy prep school in Santa Rosa are suing. The women are suing the school, two former teachers, and two former administrators, claiming they were the victims of childhood sexual assault, harassment or molestation as students. The lawsuit was filed in Sonoma County Superior Court last Friday by the law firm of famed attorney Gloria Allred. It’s the third civil case claiming female students at Sonoma Academy were sexually abused during the course of about two decades. Each lawsuit accuses the school’s leaders of failing to protect students from staff misconduct and abuse.
