Another Atmospheric River Hits the North Bay Wednesday

The next big storm is expected to hit the Bay Area tomorrow. The National Weather Service says the new atmospheric river storm will likely be as powerful, or more so, than last weekend’s storm that caused widespread flooding and damage. The NWS says to expect similar impacts. Soil will remain saturated, meaning a higher risk of flooding and shallow mudslides. Strong winds with gusts of 35 to 55 miles-per-hour, with stronger gusts in the mountains, could lead to downed trees and power lines. Rain is expected to continue throughout the weekend.

As a result, a flood and wind watch will be in effect from Wednesday morning through Thursday morning.
