The incoming sheriff is making a push for recruitment. As part of a new year’s message, Sonoma County Sheriff-elect Eddie Engram says he is focusing heavily on recruitment to meet staffing shortages in order to provide better public safety.
“I want to recruit highly qualified people with diverse backgrounds, thoughts, and experiences,” said Engram. “That kind of diversity makes for a better, more rounded sheriff’s office.”
Engram says the sheriff’s office will soon be hosting a series of town halls to get feedback from the community. Engram will be sworn in as the new sheriff Wednesday morning at 11 AM.
