A lawsuit was filed against Pacific Gas and Electric earlier this week for damages caused by the 2022 Mosquito Fire. The lawsuit was filed by Placer County, El Dorado County and three other agencies on Wednesday. It alleges that PG&E equipment caused the Mosquito Fire. The fire started in September 2022 and burned nearly 77-thousand acres of land. More than eleven-thousand residents in those counties evacuated and nearly four thousand firefighters responded to the fire.
