President Biden is vowing to help California recover from deadly and destructive storms. He raised the level of federal assistance yesterday, just hours before flying to the Central Coast to see damage up close. Governor Gavin Newsom led the tour, pointing out how strong and resilient everyone has been in a time of crisis. The visit also came as a seventh county was added to the presidential disaster declaration. San Joaquin now joins Merced, Monterey, Sacramento, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara and Santa Cruz counties.
