Students at Rancho Cotate High School in Rohnert Park got an out-of-this-world visit on Thursday. Astronaut Nicole Mann, who used to go to the school, had a video visit with about 100 students from aboard the International Space Station. Students asked Mann ten questions. She also showed them what it was like to float in zero gravity, ate peanut M-n-M’s out of the air, and made orbs of levitating water. Mann was born in Petaluma and raised in Penngrove. She made history as the first Native American in space when she and her crew arrived at the International Space Station last October 5th.
