An elderly driver died after colliding with a SMART train late Friday morning. Happening near Hamiltion Parkway and Nave Drive just north of the Novato Hamilton station, a vehicle going east went under the lowered crossing arms before being struck by the oncoming train. The elderly female driver died at the scene. No injuries were reported on the train. Two train trips were cancelled as a result.
