A bill has been introduced in Sacramento regarding sexual harassment and violence on CSU campuses, including Sonoma State. State Senator Bill Dodd introduced the bill that would add more oversight in such cases. It would also require the outcome of any settlements be posted on college websites and reported to the legislature. This comes after several sexual harassment and violence cases have happened on campuses over the past few years. This includes claims of sexual harassment from lobbyist Patrick McCallum at SSU and a retaliation settlement involving former campus president Judy Sakaki who is married to McCallum.
