A driver killed himself after a standoff with deputies near the county administration complex. It started late Friday morning with a report of a shooting at the 3300 block of Santa Rosa Avenue. Deputies found a black truck that was involved in the shooting and tried to stop the drive. However, the driver refused to stop and a chase ensued. They went north on Highway 101 and ended up on Administration Drive after a deputy caused the truck to spin. When the truck came to a stop, the driver fatally shot himself. The sheriff’s office stresses that their deputies did not fire any shots.
