Three Santa Rosa police officers will be on the Montgomery High School campus today, and may remain there tomorrow. The Santa Rosa Police Department says they’ll be providing students with a sense of security, reassurance and will answer questions students, teachers and parents may have. Police Chief John Cregan says he hand-picked the trio of officers. Today is the first day of classes at Montgomery High School since last Wednesday’s stabbing that left a 16-year-old student dead. In the wake of the violence, Santa Rosa City Schools will host a “listening session” tomorrow afternoon at the Friedman Event Center. Superintendent Anna Trunnell says the entire Santa Rosa community is invited.
