Petaluma Police Arrest Man with Active Warrants After High Speed Chase

Petaluma police arrested a driver who led cops on a car chase. Late Sunday morning, an officer tried to stop a car for multiple violations. After slowing down in a shopping center on North McDowell Boulevard near Old Redwood Highway, the driver then took off northbound onto Redwood Highway, speeding away. The chase ended after nearly six miles when the driver lost control of his car on Gilbert Court, during which a patrol car hit the rear driver’s side quarter panel. The driver, later identified as Brandon Conwell of Vacaville, was arrested after fleeing on foot into a nearby shopping center. Conwell has two active felony warrants out of Solano County and was arrested on those and others charges connected with the chase. There was a woman passenger in the car who was detained, but cops then let her go.
