A pair of Sonoma County fire districts will be holding special elections tomorrow. Residents in the Schell-Vista Fire Protection District will be voting on Measure A, which would extend a previously approved tax increase for the agency through the 2026-2027 fiscal year. Voters first approved the increase in 2018. The Timber Cove Fire Protection District will be voting on Measure B, which would grow the agency’s Board of Directors from three to five positions. Two candidates are running for the two possible new positions. If Measure B is passed, retired firefighter William Seymour and certified public accountant Alice Boyd would join the board.
