Two Local Fire District Measures Headed for Passage

A pair of Sonoma County fire district measures appear to be passing easily after Tuesday’s special election. Measure A would continue a previously approved increase in spending for the Schell-Vista Fire Protection District’s fire, rescue and emergency medical services. Nearly 89-percent of voters are in favor of it. Measure B would increase the number of members on the Timber Cove Fire Protection District’s Board of Directors from three to five. So far, election results show 83-percent of voters want that to happen. William Seymour, a retired fireman, and Alice Boyd, an accountant, are running to become the extra board members if the measure passes. Both are on the path to being elected, as of the latest election results.
