Atmospheric River Gives Sonoma County More Dangerous Conditions

Sonoma County is feeling the impacts of yet another atmospheric river. Rain that began falling Thursday afternoon has caused flooding and several road closures across Sonoma County, and a mudslide that affected traffic near Sturgeon’s Mill. No one was injured by the mudslide. A swift water rescue crew from the Forestville Fire Department rescued a driver last night. The woman was trapped in standing water near Riverfront Regional Park. Santa Rosa is expected to get two to three inches of rain through tonight, but some parts of the North Bay could see up to eight inches of rain from this storm. You can get up to 20 free sandbags and sand at any of Friedman’s 3 stores in Sonoma County.
