Former Principal of Montgomery High School Comes Back for the Short Term

Laurie Fong is now serving as the interim principal at Montgomery High School. Fong, who was the school’s principal between 2006 and 2016, started the job on Monday. She takes over for Principal Adam Paulson, who was placed on leave for the rest of the school year in the wake of the March 1st on-campus stabbing that left a student dead. Before becoming interim principal, Fong resigned from her position as a trustee on the Santa Rosa City Schools District board, which she held since the fall of 2016. Fong tells the Press Democrat she had a “unique opportunity” to step in and help Montgomery High School move forward from the tragedy.
