The cost of hundreds of different service fees in Sonoma County could be going up. That includes the cost of airport parking, environmental reviews, and cannabis inspections, to name a few. Seven Sonoma County departments are asking for the increase, which would raise an estimated three-point-two-seven-million-dollars. The majority of the 867 fees included in the proposal are connected with the county permitting department. Officials say it will cover the rising cost of delivering government services. The Sonoma County Board of Supervisors will vote on the proposed fee increases today. If passed, the new fees would take effect in July.
