Cops arrested three people in Petaluma for stealing catalytic converters. Early Wednesday morning, a resident of Weatherby Way in Petaluma reported that a catalytic converter had been stolen from their Toyota Sequoia. They described the suspects vehicle to cops and, soon after, an officer pulled over the suspect heading westbound on Caulfield Lane near Lakeville Street. During the stop, officers saw multiple catalytic converters in the back seat which one suspect was attempting to conceal. Officers then noticed a handgun near one of the passengers in the door pocket of the door. While trying to order him out of the vehicle, the passenger, Alberto Tolintino, fled on foot. The other two suspects were detained and Tolintino was later found in a waterway near East Washington Street.
