Maria Carrillo Student and Mother Arrested After Threat

A student and his mother are behind bars after an incident at Maria Carrillo High School in Santa Rosa. The 18-year-old student was arrested Tuesday afternoon on suspicion of resisting arrest and threatening school administrators and police officers. His mother is accused of obstructing or resisting arrest. Investigators say the incident started when the student stole a school golf cart, drove it across campus, then ran away. School staff members then went up to the student. He allegedly responded by threatening to kill, slash and knock their teeth in. Police also say he claimed to have an assault rifle and said he would shoot an officer.
