A man has been arrested for attacking his mother and assaulting an officer in Rohnert Park. Police responded to a domestic disturbance call Saturday morning with a female officer arriving first at the home on 600 block of Enterprise Drive. After seeing that the man who answered the door had blood on his clothing, she was concerned that other people might be injured. The man, later identified as 31-year-old Alex Arrescurrenaga, refused to follow the officer’s orders and fought the officer leading to her hitting her head on the concrete porch. Other officers came and removed Arrescurrenaga from atop the injured officer and arrested him. They then determined that the suspect assaulted his mother and threatened his adult brother, who were both inside the home. The injured officer was taken to a local hospital and was treated.
