A Sonoma County Sheriff’s deputy is scheduled to be arraigned on gun-related charges this morning. Correctional deputy Adam Marlowe is accused of possessing an assault weapon and transporting or manufacturing an assault weapon. Marlowe is one of 20 law enforcement officers in California currently facing decertification because of alleged serious misconduct. If convicted, then decertified, Marlowe would no longer be allowed to carry a badge in the state. The criminal charges against the correctional deputy are connected with a January domestic violence incident at his girlfriend’s home in Windsor. An investigation started about a week later, after Marlowe’s girlfriend filed a restraining order against him.
