Dr. Maria Angélica Garcia (Santa Rosa Junior College)
Santa Rosa Junior College is naming its next president. Dr. Maria Angelica Garcia will replace outgoing president Frank Chong, who is retiring this summer after eleven years on the job. Garcia has been the president of Berkeley City College since 2020. When she takes over in July, she will become the sixth president in the 105-year history of Santa Rosa Junior College. She will also become the school’s first Latina president.
