John Laughlin Named Sonoma County Deputy Superintendent

John Laughlin (Sonoma County Office of Education)

The Sonoma County Office of Education has a deputy superintendent. John Laughlin has been appointed to the role by Superintendent Dr. Amie Carter. Laughlin, who is in his 12th year as a member of the leadership team at SCOE, most recently served as associate superintendent overseeing human resources and the North Coast School of Education. His duties will be expanded as part of an agency-wide realignment for the 2023-24 school year. Laughlin’s previous roles at SCOE include work as a principal and assistant superintendent. Before that, Laughlin worked for 13 years for the Cotati-Rohnert Park Unified School District as a school psychologist, program specialist, coordinator, and director of special education.
