Nearly 15,000 Potholes Fixed in Bay Area Caused by Recent Storms

Crews are busier than ever repairing potholes around the Bay Area. So far this year, they’ve worked on 14,700 of them. Caltrans admits it’s a constant effort to keep up with the damage caused by all the recent storms. The potholes put drivers at risk and can damage cars. Last year, a group in Vallejo fixed some on their own. The same thing happened in Oakland in 2019, but officials say that’s illegal. That didn’t stop former governor Arnold Schwarzenegger who posted a video of himself repairing a pothole in Los Angeles. However, the city says that it wasn’t a pothole, it was actually a service trench being used by a utility company.
