Police Chase in Healdsburg leads to Crash and Confiscation of Shotgun and Ammo

A shotgun and ammo was recovered from a speeding driver who crashed in Healdsburg. Early Thursday morning, police attempted to pull over a vehicle on Dry Creek Road near Highway 101. The 17-year-old juvenile suspect, though, didn’t stop and fled going southbound on Highway 101. A chase ensued during which the suspect approached speeds of a 100 MPH. The suspect lost control of his vehicle and crashed in the 4000 block of Westside Road. The juvenile was not injured and was arrested after the crash. During a search of the vehicle, police found a loaded sawed off shotgun, ammunition for a rifle, handgun, and shotgun, and two bottles of alcohol.
