Two Fort Bragg women were injured by three pit bulls while caring for them in their owner’s home. It happened last Saturday at a home on South Harrison Street. One woman suffered major injuries to her hands, arms, and a leg. The other had deep cuts to her left forearm and a bite wound on her face. Both were caring for the dogs while their owner was running errands. One of the pit bulls was euthanized, and another is in a 10-day quarantine at the Ukiah Animal Shelter. The third pit bull was attacked by the other two and suffered deep puncture wounds and injury to its skull. The dog is expected to survive. Police are still trying to figure out what lead to the attack.
