A Petaluma neighbor’s quick work help rescue a family from a house fire. On Saturday afternoon, a fire broke out on Berrydale Drive. Smoke and fire was billowing out from the garage and attic vents of the home. A neighbor saw the smoke and called 9-1-1 and then alerted the residents and helped them evacuate. Firefighters arrived within minutes and had it contained within a half-hour. The building was red tagged and the Red Cross is helping to shelter the three adults displaced by the fire.
