The CEO of Pacific Gas and Electric says she is proud of the company for their work on under grounding power lines, as well as a shift in company culture from responding to disasters, to actively working to prevent them. CEO Patti Poppe spoke with The Press Democrat about various topics, including progress on under grounding power lines. About 6 miles of lines will be buried in Sonoma County this year. Poppe says she regularly meets with her team leaders at PG&E to get briefings and any concerns. She also spoke about inflation and higher costs that are impacting power bills for Californians.
