Authorities in Mendocino County are revealing new information about a woman whose death was hidden by her daughter for as long as a decade. On Tuesday, skeletal remains were identified as that of a Ukiah resident who was 85-years-old when she died in 2013. Investigators discovered the remains inside a home on April 24th, after Ukiah police were contacted by the older woman’s son. It’s believed the woman’s daughter, who died last month, was concealing the death so she could use her mother’s bank account. The cause of the mother’s death is still being investigated.
