Sonoma County Approves New labor Contract with SEIU 1021

A new labor contract for Sonoma County’s largest employee union is officially approved. The contract cleared its final hurdle on Tuesday, when it was passed by the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors. The agreement impacts members of Service Employees International Union Local 1021, which represents about 23-hundred of the county’s nearly four-thousand employees. They’ll be getting a 13-and-a-half-percent cost-of-living adjustment during the next three years, 64-percent of SEIU-represented employees will see a one-time equity increase, and extra help employees who work in temporary or seasonal roles will get more benefits. The contract runs through the end of February 2026.
