Tomorrow, the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors will consider a proposal to increase sewer rates. Residents in eight districts or zones would see their annual sewer rates climb from three-point-five to eight-point-nine-percent. That would be a leap of between $38- to $172-dollars more, depending on the district or zone. County officials say the increased revenue would cover the costs of maintaining and replacing infrastructure. The county believes revenue would go up by about two-and-a-half-million-dollars during the upcoming fiscal year.
