Elsie Allen High School Foundation held their annual scholarship night event on Wednesday, and four students were singled out for special scholarships courtesy of the Amaturo Family. Lawrence Amaturo, owner of this station and our sister stations, presented one of four awards to the new Amaturo Family Scholars. Recipients include Xavier Carannza and Geeta Sharma, who each received $10-thousand dollar scholarships, Priscilla Magallon received a $20-thousand dollar scholarship and Axel Quezada, who was awarded a $40-thousand dollar scholarship. These four awards represent the largest scholarships ever given by the EAHS Foundation.
