Suspect in Boyes Hot Springs Home Invasion Arrested; A 2nd Suspect Still on the Loose

One of two armed robbers in an attempted home-invasion in Boyes Hot Springs has been arrested. Deputies arrested David Averill of Vallejo yesterday on suspicion of attempted robbery, assault with a deadly weapon, kidnapping for ransom and elder abuse. He was arrested at an undisclosed location with bail set at a million-dollars. The second robber hasn’t been found. The attempted home-invasion robbery happened Wednesday morning in the 100 block of Mountain Avenue. Two armed suspects in masks tried to rob the victims before neighbors intervened. One of the victims had abrasions and a bloody nose.
