The Los Angeles Dodgers are reinviting the LA chapter of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence to their Pride Night game on June 16th. There, the chapter will receive a Community Hero Award from the team for their charity and advocacy work. The Dodgers received backlash after disinviting the Sisters last week after accusations were thrown at the group for being anti-catholic. However, the group denies this on their website saying they use “humor and irreverent wit to expose the forces of bigotry, complacency and guilt that chain the human spirit.” Several spoke out against the group’s exclusion from the Dodgers’ pride night, including the Russian River Chapter of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence.
