Rohnert Park officials are aiming to keep spending in check with their proposed budget for the 2023-24 fiscal year. The budget means the city likely won’t need to use its savings or scale back services to cover operating costs. But, the trade off is less money available for needed infrastructure improvements. The budget with a 54-point-eight-million-dollar general fund is in response to dropping revenues. It’s five-point-five-percent higher than the current budget, but Rohnert Park officials say the increase accounts for inflation. The Rohnert Park City Council is expected to adopt the budget on June 13th.
