A Rohnert Park man has died after crashing into a vacant Santa Rosa home. Police say the crash occurred Tuesday night near the Santa Rosa Veterans Memorial Building on Maple Avenue. A truck drove through the Veterans building’s east perimeter fence, through the parking lot, and finally through a home’s backyard fence along the north side of the property. However, the crash wasn’t discovered until the next morning by Veterans Memorial staff arriving for work. The driver has been identified as 37-year-old Mario Garcia-Villavicencio. The cause of the crash is still being investigated and police say it may have been due to a medical emergency.
