A Santa Rosa man is getting over 30 years in prison for sexually assaulting four children. Sixty-two-year-old Thomas Anthony Yanes received his sentence yesterday after pleading guilty to two counts of committing lewd acts on a child under 14 and one count each of aggravated sexual assault of a child and sex acts on a child under 10. Yanes was arrested in November after police began an investigation involving a female victim. She said Yanes had sexually assaulted her multiple times between 2007 and 2009. The District Attorney’s office released a statement about the sentence, saying that Yanes, quote, “normalized abusive behavior while manipulating this child to maintain her silence.” During the investigation, three other victims were discovered.
