Windsor Bans Non-Hosted Short-Term Rentals Starting in Two Years

Windsor is banning non-hosted short-term rentals in residential neighborhoods, but not right away. On Wednesday, the Windsor Town Council voted to pass the ban with a two-year grace period. Non-hosted means the property owner isn’t at the home while the renters are staying there. Also, residents who can prove rental properties are their primary homes will get a break. They’ll be allowed to rent their homes for less than 30 days at a time for up to 60 days a year without having to stay there. Those properties would still qualify as permitted hosted short-term rentals.
