Two people were arrested after police found a handgun and drugs in downtown Santa Rosa. Early Sunday morning, an officer noticed a vehicle illegally parked on the east side of Old Courthouse Square. When police talked to the people in the car, they saw evidence of drugs and drug use. The vehicle was searched and a unloaded semi-automatic handgun was found hidden inside of a compartment. The driver, Xaiyne Carlton, was arrested for the handgun and the passenger, Royce Brownfield, was arrested for drug possession.
