Three cats were killed in a structure fire in Santa Rosa. On Friday morning, a fire started in a “large metal building” on the 1500 block of Ludwig Avenue, just west of Elsie Allen High School. Firefighters responded within minutes to the structure which had been converted to living and storage areas. Crews had it put out within 15 minutes and spent the next couple hours putting out hot spots. Three cats died in the fire but firefighters managed to rescue a dog. The fire was caused by an overloaded electrical circuit causing about 50,000 dollars in damages.
