Sonoma County has a new operator for its only live-in drug and alcohol detox center for low-income residents. Buckelew Programs, based in Novato, will now operate the Orenda Center. The former operator, Drug Abuse Alternatives Center, had operated the ten-bed facility for more than a dozen years. Buckelew has operated the Helen Vine Recovery Center in Marin County for more than 20 years. It also holds a state license for residential treatment at Athena House, which is an all-women’s treatment facility in Santa Rosa.
