A Santa Rosa resident who was missing for more than a month died due to complications from heart disease. Sixty-four-year-old Larry Atchison, who suffered from dementia, was found dead on a rural trail less than two miles southeast of his home in Bennett Valley on March 27th. The Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office Coroner Unit says environmental exposure, dementia and ketoacidosis, which is a complication of diabetes, were also contributing factors to his death. The death has been ruled accidental.
