Efforts to bring new housing and commercial projects to Santa Rosa’s inner-city may be gaining momentum. The plans were reviewed earlier this month at a meeting of the Sonoma County Alliance. That organization is business advocacy group. Here’s one of the presenters, Peter Rumble, CEO of the Santa Rosa Metro Chamber:
“It’s not just vacant lots being developed into housing,” said Peter. “It is really kicking off this mutually beneficial cycle for stronger more stable economy in our city and for a more vibrant economy.”
The new projects likely would emphasize building up, not out.
