Convicted Felon Arrested After Confronting Santa Rosa Officer and Possessing Handgun

A convicted man has been arrested after being confrontational with Santa Rosa police and possessing a gun. On Thursday morning at the 76 Fuel Station on the corner of Sebastopol Road and Dutton Avenue, an officer noticed car with an expired registration to have possibly stolen or fake registration tags. As the car parked, the officer approached it and was confronted by the driver, 44-year-old Robert McConlogue, in an aggressive way. Backup was called and officers were able to put McConlogue in handcuffs. They then found a 9mm “Poly 80” handgun in his waistband that was not registered or have a serial number. They also found ammo and drug paraphernalia in his car. McConlogue is a convicted felon and prohibited from possessing firearms or ammunition.
