California’s first State of Pride report shows a rise in LGBTQ hate crimes. Attorney General Rob Bonta says “The stakes are high, the attacks are disgusting, the targeting is strong, now more than ever we need each other.” He hosted a forum yesterday to detail the report. It shows nearly 400 hate crimes motivated by sexual orientation between 2021 and 2022. That was up 29-percent. Bonta called it a reminder the “fight is far from over.”
