A man is recovering after being stung by a swarm of bees near a hive southeast of Petaluma. The man in his 70s was stung while flying model airplanes near a commercial hive at about noon Wednesday. Initial reports said he was in critical condition, but last night, North Bay Fire reported he had improved to stable condition. The man was initially found without a pulse.
