Felon Arrested After Shooting at Another Person in Rohnert Park

A convicted felon has been arrested in Rohnert Park after shooting at another person. On Sunday evening, the suspect, later identified as Richard Meza, followed the victim while both were driving in their vehicles. They arrived at the 7500 block of Burton Avenue and got into an argument while still in their own vehicles. It was during this that Meza pulled a gun and fired once hitting the victim’s vehicle door. Meza then drove away while the victim was uninjured. Meza was arrested in Petaluma on Wednesday for the shooting with a handgun found in his vehicle. He’s charged with Attempted Murder, making Criminal Threats, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, and Felon in Possession of Ammunition.
