Former Coddingtown Manager and Winery Owner Ramona Crinella Passes Away

A former winemaker and manager of Coddingtown Mall has died. The Press Democrat reports that Ramona Crinella passed away on June 6th at the age of 84 due to complications from colon cancer. She was born in 1938 to Marian and Marino Crinella in Petaluma. She was first a manager of a Santa Rosa TV station before becoming manager of Coddingtown Mall in the 1970’s and 80’s. Crinella opened a 40-acre winery in Forestville in 2000 after years of failing to bring major housing and retail development to downtown Forestville. She eventually sold that land to Silver Oak Cellars. She even helped save the downtown post office, preserving it as a museum. Crinella is survived by her daughter, two sons, and three grandchildren.
